

Before joining CDC Innovation in 2005, Jean-Christophe was for 5 years Managing Director at MDS Capital, a leading North American venture capital firm with $1.3bn under management dedicated to private investments in the biotech and life sciences areas. Previously, he was Vice-President at Sofinov, a subsidiary of the Caisse de Dépôts et Placement du Quebec, one of the largest pension funds in Canada. His activities included both direct investments and the management of fund-of-funds in the life sciences sector. Earlier, he held various international operational positions at Servier, a privately-owned French pharmaceutical company, first in Paris, and then Dublin and Johannesburg as General Manager. He also worked at JP Morgan as an Associate in the Merger & Acquisitions and Equity Research departments in the bank’s Healthcare Practice in New York and London. Prior to his MBA, he worked in the research and development department of Roussel UCLAF in London. Jean-Christophe holds a Medical Degree from Université René Descartes in Paris, is an Ancien Interne des Hôpitaux de Paris (residency in Clinical Pharmacology) and holds a MBA from the Dartmouth Amos Tuck School of Business Administration (Tuck 91).
